Some time ago my son had a skin rash, a type of spontaneous urticaria, he had it about three times, I don’t remember well, but I do remember that I was really scared.
Now that I look back, I recognize that I wanted to transform that memorie into something that I would like visually.
Around that time, I began to scratch the transparent paper and I really liked that it turned from grey into white -due to its transparency- and that after scratching it, I also obtained relief, volume, something like swollen.
Thus, in this work, the paper acquires a human quality, almost like skin.
This work “Haut” from 2018/2019 was part of my exhibition “Zwiebelwickel”
